 Lots of people seem to be familiar with the Law of Attraction and movies like “The Secret”. Both seemed go gain lots of exposure when they appeared on The Oprah Show about a year or so ago. Christians seemed to be outraged by some of the movies content but I’ve learned that it’s always good to eat the meat and throw away the bones (In the words of my pastor, Pastor RA Vernon). That simply means take the part that applies to where God has you right now and throw away the rest.

Nonetheless, The Law of Attraction seems to be similar to the bible in its emphasis on setting in your mind what you want and allowing God to figure out how that thing will come to past. We pick the what and trust God with the how.

The hold up generally comes when we waiver in our faith and begin to doubt. My mentor, Val Smyth, describes this best in his Mentors in Motion training with the “Captain and Crew.” The captain (our mind) has given the order and the crew is ready to follow it. But when you doubt, because you can’t see the HOW, they simply stand still or abort the order until you make up your mind.

Ask to make you STEADFAST and, with a clean heart, the stuff will come!
